Cory Bohon has just a released a new version of his iOS content blocker Adamant, with a renewed blocklist designed to make browsing with Safari even faster by blocking more ads than ever before.

If you did not know yet, Apple has decided to finally allow content blockers in the App Store, and shortly after the release of iOS 9 this type of apps have skyrocketed in the tops because they provide something that iOS users have wanted for a long time: speedier web browsing and improved battery life.

Some other benefits of using a Safari content blocker on your iOS device are the fact that it can help you block websites tracking your activity around the web and help you save on your monthly phone bill by reducing the amount of mobile data you consume on a daily basis.

Adamant 1.1 removes the in-app purchase upgrade option and also features a number of minor bug fixes

Besides the new improved blocklist, the Adamant 1.1 version also comes with some minor bug fixes which should make the app more stable and more user-friendly.

The developer has also removed the in-app purchase upgrade that allowed it to offer the app for free and has chosen to make it a paid application, making it one of the few content blockers in the iTunes Store that don't come with an in-app purchase based upgrade method.

Adamant can be installed on any device running iOS 9.0 or later, and it is compatible with iPhone 5s or later, iPad Air or newer as well as iPod touch 6th generation.

You can download Adamant 1.1 from the iTunes Store, or you can update it if you already have it installed on your iOS device by launching App Store, going to the "Update" tab and tapping on the "Update" button next to Adamant's entry.
