th3j35t3r Is Back, Claims Smedley Manning Is Bluffing

After many people suspected that he was setting up his own downfall in order to raise money for himself, The Jester (th3j35t3r) came forward to prove them wrong.

It all started when a Twitter user named Smedley Manning (@cubespherical) published a number of screenshots that allegedly proved that he knew the hacker’s true identity. He claimed that he would release The Jester’s dox when his Bitcoin wallet would reach 20,000 BTC.

One day later, The Jester’s account had been deleted and some of his blog posts were removed in what seemed to be his surrender in front of the mysterious character.

At this point, two sides were formed. Some believed that the hacker was faking everything in an attempt to raise money and disappear, while others argued that this Smedley character might really know his identity.

When he saw that things were escalating, The Jester decided that it was enough.

“This news exploded – and as some folks danced on my grave, I decided I had the rare opportunity just to observe without getting involved. I saw numerous people who had previously tried to befriend me or get into my head were now, safe in the knowledge I was effectively ‘dead’, totally berating me and my previous exploits, denouncing me and more,” The Jester wrote on his blog.

“So here’s the throwdown. ‘Smeddles’ drop my dox. Do it. You have proved and shown nothing. Only that you are completely failing,” he added.

On May 17, in a final attempt, @cubespherical posted a tweet saying that he was about to reveal the hacker’s true identity, but a few hours later, instead of dropping the dox, he changed his tactics.

He suddenly became affiliated with Anonymous and called The Jester a child predator. However, that was pointless, since he didn't manage to raise any money and he failed to deliver the hacker's identity.

Anonymous are a bunch of kids who have been proven to have little/no power. Sure, if you get enough of them together their childish screams can be quite loud, but when it comes down to it, 1 man has proven time and time again... they're way out of their depths.

You conveniently left out the part where others posted th3j3st3r's true identity via pastebin.

Oops.

The Jester and/or Cube are proving to be ineffectual idiots. This recent ploy clearly illuminates the fact. Will Jester ever explain how Saladin works? Of course not. Go away already, you fame * - Jester.

Oh purlease! This is an extremely selective article that doesn't even consider recent - well documented - claims that th3j35t3r's 'Tango Down's are opportunistic afterthought. Does Anonymous ever make claims that don't eventuate? Yes. But its a broad-based, leaderless movement - nothing to stop anyone, even a critic, putting forward a claim. th3j35t3r doesn't have that luxury and she continues to refuse, in any detail, to respond to questions raised by ReaperSec - http://reapersec.wordpress.com/2012/05/12/th3j35t3rs-saladin-tool-exposed/ How about a 'balanced' article looking into that?

Anonymous really went from something great and entertaining to a bunch of tryhard hipster rats looking to get rich quick. Anonymous used to be a bunch of people trolling for the greater good like * and destroying with that creepy Scientology thing. now they think they can change the world by "doxing" people(ooh so scary!) and Ddosing government sites(ddosing only lasts for so long). rip anonymous

th3j35t3r will always get the last laugh. If there is one thing I have learned from following him its that everything you know is what he wants you to know. Defending the good. Slaying the evil. th3j35t3r for Pres!

The hacker groups Anonymous, Lulzsec, etc., have been hounding th3j35t3r like a pack of wild dogs ever since he brought down Wikileaks. Claiming to dox him has made them a joke to his supporters. It ain't happened. So, when will they realize that most people don't view him as the problem, and just the opposite, actually see the hackers as the problem? Never. They are blinded by ego and vanity.

You're right, exposing enough vulnerabilities to take Sony offline for a month shows how little power they have eh? Pfff setting up video feeds to show government brutality is definitely childish compared to temporarily tango downing a few websites eh?

Those are the two easiest examples to denounce hangman as a complete jester fanboy, and jester as nothing more the a free speech nuisance for jihadist website owners.....
