A fresh update has been released for the famous online multiplayer shooter from Valve Team Fortress 2, and a bunch of balancing changes have been made to the game.

The Team Fortress developers are working very hard these days, and they managed to produce yet another major update for Team Fortress 2. You might wonder why a publisher cares about a game that was released all the way back in 2007. Well, even eight years later, Team Fortress 2 is still among the most played games on Steam, and that puts a lot of pressure on the developers to make sure that everything is OK.

Truth be told, the game has been upgraded so much in these eight years that it doesn't even resemble the original game that was released in 2007. New content is added all the time, besides the patches and balancing fixes. It would be hard to compare the old and the new games as they would seem almost completely different titles.

Team Fortress 2 is true free to play

Team Fortress 2 is one of the few free-to-play games out there that let users compete with skill and not with money. If you're a new user, you will get access to all the game, and you will compete on equal footing with everyone. Users can't get better gear and weapons with money; the store is only for decorative items only.

According to the changelog, the Arms Race 1 and Arms Race 2 community event medals have been added, a bug related to using incorrect particle effects has been fixed, users are now able to carry the flag with the Rocket/Sticky Jumpers, the secondary attack animations for the Short Circuit have been added, the Stat Clock models are now cloaking with the Spy, and a rare client crash that occurred when turning in Contracts has been fixed.

As usual, you don't have to do anything to get the update, just let Steam download all the files. Enjoy!
