14 DAY TRIAL // The first sign that Taylor Swift and whatever man she’s dating are talking about moving on to the next stage in their relationship is the rumor that she’s looking into real estate to be closer to him. Taylor has been dating DJ Calvin Harris for about 5 months and - you guessed it - she’s looking to buy some property in Scotland.
She will settle for nothing less than a castle though. The Daily Mail reports that she has her sight set on a Scottish Baronial manor house from 1570, which has been used as a wedding and vacation venue after it was renovated 2 decades ago.
But the best part about the property is that it’s very close to Harris’ family.

Taylor Swift isn’t just one of the hottest and most successful young pop stars of the moment, she’s also a very savvy businesswoman. Her real estate portfolio, which includes property in Nashville, New York and Beverly Hills, is proof of that: you will never find her out in the club blowing her money on stupid stuff because she is investing it wisely.
Her future acquisition is more driven by personal reasons than business ones, though: Taylor is looking into buying a castle in Scotland so that she can be closer to Calvin and his family. Presumably, the new home will also offer her more privacy in terms of helping her escape the paparazzi hounding her in NYC.
“The Shake It Off singer is understood to have her heart set on the £4.6million [$7.1 million / €6.4 million] Tower of Lethendy, located 14 miles north of Perth, so she can have a base close to boyfriend Calvin Harris’ family. The 16th Century estate is located just an hour’s drive from Edinburgh where Dumfries-born Calvin’s family live,” the Mail writes.
A dreamy estate
Of course, the fact that the castle is located close to Harris’ home isn’t the only thing that caught Taylor’s eye, the report continues.
Tower of Lethendy has been completely renovated on the inside a while back by its Canadian owners, and while it would probably still need some work, it would be fit for her to move in tomorrow if she wanted.
It has 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms in the main house, and 2 cottages for the staff and 2 gate lodges. It also has its very own golf course, a heated pool and a tennis court, so Taylor and Calvin wouldn’t have any trouble in coming up with outdoorsy activities to keep them occupied.
Here’s the downside: back when she was dating One Direction’s Harry Styles, when she thought they were serious enough, she started looking into houses in London to be closer to him. He freaked out so badly that he dumped her shortly afterwards - allegedly, of course.
