Tapatalk has already reached version 5.0 on Android, and long-time users will be pleased to know that the new application comes with lots of new features and improvements.
First of all, developers have added the ability to follow other forum members. In order to do that, simply tap their photo icon, then hit the follow button.
You should also keep in mind that all the new posts from those users will now show up in your feed (Stalker mode enabled).
Furthermore, the latest update also brings a wider range of font selection, so users will now be able to pick their font and text size and have it applied throughout the entire application.
Other enhancements available in the latest version of Tapatalk include improved push notifications. The new changes are aimed at those who felt overwhelmed by the high number of notifications they received in a day.
According to developers, version 5.0 of the application now allows users to bundle all their notifications into just one daily update of their subscriptions.
Some features are making a comeback
The folks over at Tapatalk have decided to bring back the classic sub forums browser. This should make users who were less than thrilled with the last batch of changes very happy.
Moreover, the private messaging UI has been tweaked, so users will notice that it now looks more like the rest of the application.
Discussion cards have been updated as well with Material Design, which has been applied to this portion of the app, so users can now mark a discussion as read with just one tap.
