Just yesterday we shared with you a leaked list of smartphones that will seemingly get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in the upcoming months. And according to the info included in the document, Samsung is expected to upgrade quite a few models, flagships first.

But we all know that even if a device maker pushes out an update for a particular device, carrier versions might get it at a later date or not at all (as we have seen to be the case with the AT&T and Verizon Motorola Moto X second gen. Well, luckily for us, this week T-Mobile has shared the list of handsets to be getting the Android 6.0 Marshmallow soon enough.

Apart from the obvious, Nexus 5, Nexus 6 Nexus 7 (2013 version) and Nexus 9, there are quite a lot of Samsung products in line to get the software bump including the Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note5, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Tab S2.

Furthermore, the HTC One M8 and One M9 plus the LG G3, G4 and G Stylo are also bound to get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow under the carrier.

Keep your finger crossed for the update to arrive soon

Now, the company doesn’t share with us any specific time frame for when the phones owners can expect the new build to arrive. But it does give us some further details. T-Mobile says that there are three stages before the update can start to go out to users: manufacturer development, T-Mobile testing and Completed.

For the time being, only the Nexus devices have reached Completed stage, so you can expect them to be available shortly. Actually, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow factory images for the Nexus 5, 6, 7 and 9 are currently available for download for the unlocked versions.

The other devices listed by T-Mobile are currently in the Manufacturer Development stage, but you can go back to the T-Mobile website and check the status of your model whenever you want. Hopefully, things will be advancing fast.

Not so long ago we told you that the Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy Note5, Galaxy S6 and others will be getting the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update by early 2016. So it might seem we still have a few months to wait.
