System76 teased all Ubuntu users with their brand-new Twitter campaign, which starts today, June 25, as the well-known hardware company plans one of its biggest sales ever on July 4, 2015.

We all know that Independence Day is celebrated annually on July 4, but it appears that the event is somehow related to System76, as "76" comes from the year of the American Revolution, 1776, which is popularly known as "spirit of 76."

Therefore, System76 plans one of their biggest sale of Ubuntu-powered computers in history, but they need your help to spread the word and join their Twitter campaign that starts on June 25, 2015.

You will have exactly 4 days, until June 29, to post as many tweets as possible using the #Ubuntu76 hashtag, which will help System76's Summer Sale to become the biggest Ubuntu computer sale ever.

"To celebrate the revolution, we are empowering you with the ability to lower the prices of Ubuntu laptops and desktops by sharing with the world what you are creating with Ubuntu," says System76 on the blog announcement. "On June 30, we launch the sale. You could potentially create our biggest sale ever."

You can help, here's how!

System76 promises discounts of up to $200 (€178) for selected desktop and laptop computers that come preloaded with Canonical's Ubuntu Linux operating system, but it all depends on you, so here's how that campaign works.

If you want to see discounts of $200 (€178) for the computer(s) you want to buy, you will have to post as many tweets as you can and join in open-source conversations that contain the #Ubuntu76 hashtag. Best of all is that anyone can contribute.

So, if the #Ubuntu76 hashtag becomes trendy, System76 will offer great discounts to those of you who are in the market for a new computer powered by Ubuntu, and even post some of the most interesting tweets on their homepage.
