Value-added computer reseller System76 announced today that it brings support for the powerful Nvidia Titan V graphics card to the next major release of its Ubuntu-based Pop!_OS Linux distribution.

The company is currently working hard on Pop!_OS Linux 18.04, a release that's based on Canonical's upcoming Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Bionic Beaver) operating system and built around the GNOME desktop environment. One essential feature of the next Pop!_OS Linux release appears to be support for Nvidia's Titan V GPUs.

"We now have support for the NVIDIA Titan V, one of the most powerful GPUs on the market today! One of the value adds we do as a company is the ability to quickly incorporate support for new hardware.  It’s available in our latest ISO if you want to check it out," said System76 in their latest blog announcement.

System76 also said that they've been working lately with the team of developers behind the Ubuntu-based elementary OS distro on the new installer and software center for Pop!_OS Linux 18.04, announcing today some of the upcoming changes of the revamped Pop!_Shop application store.

These include an "Installed" tab that replaces the old "Updates" tab used in the previous version of Pop!_OS Linux to better alert the user when there are pending updates available for installation, support for viewing dependency information and download size of app listings, as well as various tweaks to the category colors, error and restart dialogs.

A bunch of new graphical assets have landed as well for the revamped Pop!_Shop application store in Pop!_OS Linux 18.04, including a new icon that promises to unify the look and feel of the operating system.
