SwiftKey developers have just announced that, moving forward, all themes it adds to its keyboard application on both the Android and iOS platforms will be available for free.

Up until now, the company charged customers who wanted to customize the look of their SwiftKey keyboard, but starting today, that won't happen anymore.

SwiftKey has announced that all themes on Android and iOS are now completely free. This doesn't seem to be just a limited time event, so all the themes the developers will launch in the future will come free of charge.

If you're using the Android version of the application, you can tap or slide the hamburger icon on the left of the prediction bar to enter the SwiftKey Hub. You will find the “Themes” panel there, so select “SwiftKey Store” to get what themes you want.

There are more than 100 themes available for free in the store, so users can customize their SwiftKey keyboard's color and design, as well as the new Vivid themes which are free of charge, too.

If you haven't heard about the Vivid themes, then you should know that they follow the launch of a redesigned SwiftKey Hub, which came with new user-requested features such as text expansion shortcuts.

Moving on to iOS users, in order to get you free SwiftKey themes, simply open the container app from the homescreen and click the red “Design” icon in the top right to pick from the free themes.

Those who haven't yet tried SwiftKey keyboard on their smartphones should consider giving it a go, especially that all the themes are now completely free.

The application is fully compatible with all devices running Android 5.0 and up, as well as iOS 8.0 or newer. Obviously, SwiftKey app is free to download through Google Play and App Store.
