14 DAY TRIAL // It hasn’t been long since Samsung discontinued production of its Galaxy Note 7 flagship and it seems that the company has already started working on another premium smartphone, the Galaxy S8. Specs for the Galaxy S8 have just leaked, revealing some interesting details about the upcoming phone.
According to this recent leak that surfaced on Weibo, the Galaxy S8 might come with a 5.5-inch 4k curved dual-edge screen, which would be quite suitable for VR platforms, and is expected to run an Exynos 8895 SoC or Snapdragon 830 processor with 10nm process.
The specs sheet shows a comparison between components in the newly announced Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and the Galaxy S8 edge. Both phones appear to come with dual curved displays, but the Samsung device will surely have a more advanced screen.

Aside from this, the smartphone might be made available with 6GB or 8GB of RAM capacity, but that remains to be seen. Still, Samsung has just recently announced the 8GB of mobile RAM package, so there’s a slight chance that the upcoming flagship could have such a powerful RAM configuration.
The leak also mentions that the phone might come with NFC and MST support for Samsung Pay and 80% screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone will apparently be announced on February 26 and be made available for purchase in March. However, we advise taking the information with a grain of salt, as it’s quite early to talk about the configuration of Samsung’s upcoming premium phone.
Previous rumors on the Galaxy S8 say the phone might come with a dual-camera setup on the back and a new artificial intelligence assistant that would replace S Voice.
Samsung is said to have delayed development of the Galaxy S8 by two weeks, until the South Korean company finds the flaw that caused Galaxy Note 7 smartphones to catch fire, leading to the discontinuation of the phone.
