Even if we’re anticipating that this autumn Apple will unveil the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, phone designers’ imagination is already getting quite hot over the iPhone 7.

While recent leaks have made it pretty clear that the overall aesthetics of the new smartphone duo won’t change dramatically from last year’s pair, the iPhone 7 still holds the promise of great change.

Let’s admit it, everyone loves a good concept. So how about we take a look at the latest imagery related to the iPhone 7.

Are you still a bit nostalgic about the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s? Well, the concept we’re going to detail in a few takes a lot of design cues from Apple’s older models (as seen at Nowhereelse). So instead of coming out with something completely new, Apple might be looking towards the past to find new inspiration.

This iPhone 7 concept brings the old back

The iPhone 7 the artist has envisioned borrows the glass back, as well as the flat frame going around the whole device, from the older model. But there’s also 2.5D sapphire glass mixed into the bundle, which subtly melts into the metal frame.

As for specifications, the iPhone 7 is supposed to arrive with a Quad HD Retina display, a next-gen A10 processor, and a 16MP iSight camera.

Apple has been rumored to up the resolution on its new iPhone models this year, so the iPhone 6s should boast a FHD display, while the iPhone 6s Plus might take advantage of a QHD one, like most flagship phones being announced these days. Considering this, it only makes sense for the iPhone 7 to also come with improved resolution.

The concept phone also introduces a new idea - a wireless charging station that allows users to easily connect to Apple devices.

While this iPhone 7 model looks pretty sleek, we’re taking the opportunity to remind you of other cool iPhone 7 futuristic concepts.

One designer envisioned the iPhone 7 with a home button embedded into the display, while another one made the phone completely bezeless. Bezeless smartphones have been getting more and more popular these days, so it’s not out of the question that Apple might consider making such a mobile device soon.

Last but not least, there was that iPhone 7 concept that did away with the home button, only to rely on Force Touch instead.
