A more permanent system is being prepared

Many gamers are convinced that Street Fighter V is still an unfinished game and that Capcom has a lot of work to do before the title can offer the kind of fighting game experience that the community was expecting from it, but the company has been listening to feedback and is now ready to reveal how it plans to punish those with high disconnect rates, also known as rage quitters.

The company says videos and other information delivered by the fans has been used to create a full picture of the situation although many still see the fact that no punishment was included on launch as a major oversight.

Capcom says that it plans to punish players who quit matches before they are over on a weekly basis, and it seems that only the worst offenders will be targeted at the moment, meaning those who have disconnect rate of about 80 or 90 percent in Street Fighter V.

According to the official announcement, "we penalized roughly 30 players in our system by docking their League Points. Players who log into their account and see that their LP and Rank has dropped significantly can consider this a warning. We will be continuing to monitor these accounts in the coming weeks and will take further action if needed."

Apparently, a more permanent solution to rage quitting for Street Fighter V is being explored, and the company will offer more details once it is ready to deliver a full system.

The fighting title is ready for a big March update

The development team says that it has dealt with some Street Fighter V issues on the server side, making Rival search more reliable while making sure that no disconnects happen after the creation of a Battle Lounge.

Capcom acknowledges that gamers who use "-" and "_" in their Fighter ID cannot be searched for, and Fighter Profile is still not being properly populated with information.

All these issues will probably be addressed in the coming March update for Street Fighter V, a month during which the game will also get access to its first free content drop, which will include a new character as well as access to the official store.

Capcom has said that it plans to offer a bigger story mode for its fighting title in June and that tweaks to the core mechanics and bug fixes will continue to arrive on a monthly basis.
