Microsoft indeed brought back the Start menu in Windows 10, but there's no secret that the design the company decided to go for isn't really everyone's cup of tea and many are looking out there in the software market for alternatives that could restore the layout and UI available in Windows 7.

Start10 is one of the best solutions available right now, and despite the fact that it doesn't come with a freeware license, it provides the richest feature lineup that you can find in a Start menu at the moment.

As you can see in the photo gallery below, Start10 perfectly mimics the Windows 7 Start menu look and feel, so if you install this on Windows 10, you can barely notice any difference when clicking the Start button. What's more, it includes an option to access the default Windows 10 Start menu, so you can always go back if you like.

Lots of customization options

Start10 automatically takes over the Windows 10 Start button for its own menu, but it also lets you change it with another one, either from its own gallery or with a PNG stored on your drives.

Also, there are several Start menu layouts to choose from, so setting up your own could take a while thanks to the fact that you're basically flooded with a plethora of customization options. This has always been a good thing, so extra points for Start10 for giving us so many options.

Overall, Start10 is clearly one of the best Start menu replacements available on the market right now, and although it costs a few bucks, it might be worth the money if you really want to make the Windows 10 desktop more familiar.

So despite the fact that it's available with a price, a trial version is also offered, so go ahead and download Start10 right now to see what it's up to.
