After confirming a release date for StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void, Blizzard now shares some actual gameplay details about the modes, units, and many others included in the real-time strategy experience. From the special Archon mode to the new units like Lurker, Disruptor, or Liberator, fans have lots of fresh things to enjoy.

StarCraft II started its initial rollout with the first chapter in its trilogy, Wings of Liberty, which focused on the Terran faction. Afterwards, Heart of the Swarm arrived with its emphasis on the Zerg, and now the final release, Legacy of the Void, promises to focus on the Protoss and their fight to reclaim their home planet of Aiur.

After plenty of teasers and scarce details, Blizzard has mentioned that it's going to debut Legacy of the Void on November 10 for PC, and shared a great cinematic video.

Now, the studio shares a few more details about the new release, starting with its new modes and experiences, and continuing with the new units or multiplayer-only additions.

First up, there's the new Archon Mode, which lets two players control the same base. As such, one player can focus on the base management, while the other can deal with the units and the offensive or defensive actions.

Extending this are the Co-Op missions, which challenge players with teaming up and controlling various commanders in order to fulfill certain goals or complete tough scenarios.

New units bring some freshness to each faction. The Zerg herald the comeback of the Lurker, a classic from back in StarCraft: Brood War. The Protoss can use a new weapon called the Disruptor against ground forces. Meanwhile, the Terrans can deploy the Liberator, a heavily armed gunship that can transform into a stationary air platform, similarly to the Siege Tank. Other new units are promised, but right now, no details are available about them.

In the multiplayer mode, there will be automated tournaments to help keep fans busy, so expect to hear more in the following months, as we get closer to the launch of Legacy of the Void on November 10.
