The teams at developer DICE, publisher Electronic Arts and platform holder Sony are announcing that they are working on a Limited Edition version of the PlayStation 4 home console that will come bundled with the new Star Wars: Battlefront shooter.

The information comes from the official Twitter account of the franchise and also delivers a look at the design of the special device that gamers will be able to pick up, with Darth Vader on the body and a new black and red look for the controller.

Those who will pick up the new Star Wars: Battlefront PlayStation 4 Limited Edition bundle will get the Sony platform and a copy of the video game and it seems that a voucher is also included that will allow them to watch the movie in the series for free.

The package is very cool, but Sony has not yet said whether it will be offered all over the world and what price the bundle will carry with it.

Presumably a limited number of packages will be offered in stores so those who are interested in getting a special Star Wars: Battlefront PlayStation 4 should move fast to secure one.

DICE is aiming to deliver a multiplayer focused take on the classic movies

Star Wars: Battlefront is designed to allow players to become part of all the major engagements between the Rebels and the Empire that were shown or mentioned in the first three films.

The company has gone to extreme lengths, working with LucasFilm and with a range of other sources, to offer environments, weapons and characters that feel entirely authentic.

Last week DICE announces that it would include a Supremacy mode in Star Wars: Battlefront, which will allow gamers to use a range of weapons and many Heroes in order to battle as they seek to dominate a variety of control points.

The studio is planning to reveal some other modes before launch takes place, both competitive and cooperative.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be out on November 17 and gamers will be able to get the first downloadable content just a few weeks later when everyone gets access to the Battle of Jakku for free to celebrate the launch of The Force Awakens.
