Playing solo or with a friend can be quite fun

The Star Wars Battlefront Missions have a pretty good replay value, at least according to developer DICE, as different strategies and play styles can produce all sorts of varied results. As such, while the emphasis of the game is on multiplayer battles, the survival missions can also provide a great time for fans.

Star Wars Battlefront is a reboot of the shooter series made originally by Pandemic, only this time it will arrive from DICE, the Swedish studio responsible for the Battlefield franchise. Quite a lot of details have been shared with fans in recent months and some have been met with positive and negative reactions by the community.

Among the most controversial was the focus on competitive multiplayer, as DICE and EA want to deliver the epic battles seen in the Star Wars movies, thanks to modes like Walker Assault. The only single-player experiences in Battlefront will be the special survival Missions. These can be played alone or with a friend.

The Battlefront Missions encourage replay and competition

Even if they're not the main focus of the game, Battlefront's Missions will encourage players to replay them and strive to earn better times, at least according to one of DICE's Level Artists, who shares his thoughts on Reddit.

According to him, there have already been a few internal contests between team members to get the bests time in the E3 2015 Tatooine Mission, and this encouraged a lot of out-of-the-box thinking and strategies.

"Personally I have found the replay value to be very high. We have had an internal competition at the office where we battled over a case of beer, who would get the best time on the Tatooine Mission that was shown on E3, and we have been playing that Mission over and over and over. It is really fun, changing your tactics slightly every time and trying new ways, especially when you start to compare round time with your friends and colleagues," he explains.

The shortest time for the Tatooine mission was 14 minutes and 32 seconds, so players should expect plenty of fun times, either alone or with a buddy in Star Wars Battlefront when it launches this November across PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
