When the beta for Star Wars: Battlefront was launched, many gamers thought that the developers at DICE offered details on all the modes they include in the shooter, but the studio still has some aces up its sleeves, with a few experiences that are focused on the major characters of the movie franchise.

Games will be able to take part in a Battle mode that makes every engagement personal and focuses on the power of Like Skywalker, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Leia, Han Solo or Emperor Palpatine.

The goal is to take tokens from the bodies of dead enemies and reach a limit of 100 in order to win the match and players will be able to play against a team of AI characters or against another human that either uses one Hero character or chooses to have some troopers supporting him.

Star Wars: Battlefront allows players to create one on one battles between some of the biggest characters that both the Empire and the Rebels have access to.

Jim Fagerlund, a level designer at DICE, says on the official site that unique Battles areas are offered on both Sulluth and on Hoth, although the regular maps will welcome gamers on the other planets included in the shooter.

He adds, "I have a soft spot for playing Battles on Sullust. You’ll see so many cool moments there, fighting among the hangars, catwalks, and huge AT-ATs that the scenery consists of. In particular, when Luke and Vader are fighting here, the atmosphere is great, and you see shades of their duels in the original film trilogy."

Star Wars: Battlefront also features Heroes versus Villains and Training Missions

For gamers who want to play with a bigger group of friends, DICE is introducing a mode in which two teams of six will clash, with only three on each side at any point starting as the named characters.

Once one of the special Heroes or Villains is defeated, the player will become a normal trooper and the goal is to make one of the sides run out of special characters to deploy.

DICE says that it wants the Heroes versus Villains mode offer a fast and dynamic experience with short rounds that should give gamers a chance to play through a lot of content relatively quickly.

Star Wars: Battlefront will also feature a number of Training missions that are designed to give fans of the movies a chance to learn some of the core mechanics of the shooter so that they can have fun when playing the other modes.

Probe Doids is the core tutorial and gamers will also be able to take part in Beggar's Canyon and Invasion as a Rebel, and in Overpower and Endor Chase as an Imperial.

The final Training sequence is called The Dark Side and allows newcomers to take on the role of Darth Vader as he launches his assault on Hoth alongside Emperor Palpatine.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be launched on the PC, the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One on November 17 of this yea,r and at the start of December gamers will get access to free DLC called Battle of Jakku.
