The two video games each have clear personalities

The development team at DICE might be best known for the extensive work it has done on the Battlefield series, but the company is eager to make sure that the coming Star Wars: Battlefront does not share any core systems with the better-known franchise.

The studio believes that the two experiences should stand on their own and have mechanics that are designed to appeal to wide numbers of players, although fans of one would not necessarily like the other.

Gamesradar quotes Patrick Bach, the general manager at DICE, as saying that "They are as far apart as any shooter would be to any other shooter. I think people will be surprised that it’s even a DICE game in some cases, but I think that the quality of the game and the quality of the audio, the visuals, the emotion it evokes will hopefully feel very DICE."

Star Wars: Battlefront is designed to appeal to fans of the science fiction universe and will be focused on offering a look at all the battles that were shown or mentioned in the original trilogy of movies.

The team is offering levels based on Endor, Hoth and Tatooine, but it will also introduce a volcanic planet named Sulluth.

Star Wars: Battlefront is focused on multiplayer action

There are no plans to offer a single-player experience in the shooter because DICE believes that the community it will attract is not interested in it.

DICE is compensating by introducing a wide variety of multiplayer modes, including one that focuses on aerial battles and another that will allow gamers to cooperatively fight against waves of enemies.

One of the most important features of the shooter will be the Hero concept, which allows gamers to take on the role of very powerful characters like Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett or Darth Vader.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be launched on November 17 on the PC, the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.

Gamers who place a pre-order will be able to get the Battle of Jakku downloadable content, which is linked to the coming The Force Awakens movie, on December 1, while the rest of the community will receive it one week later.
