A lot of different details concerning the new Star Wars Battlefront closed alpha stage have leaked online, confirming some of the weapons, vehicles, and modes included in the special test phase that's underway on the PC platform.

Star Wars Battlefront is one of the most anticipated games of the year, as millions of Battlefront game franchise fans and Star Wars aficionados in general are looking forward to the shooter made by DICE and published by Electronic Arts in November for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The closed alpha is underway and leaks are happening

Until then, however, the two companies have just kicked off a special closed alpha test phase that serves as a trial for the general multiplayer experience as well as for its infrastructure.

While the actual alpha is under a very strict non-disclosure agreement, as EA and DICE don't want anyone posting impressions, screenshots, videos, and other such things about this early version of the game, some leaks are still happening.

The biggest one arrives from NeoGAF, where users have started combing through the alpha files and have found quite a lot of interesting things.

First up, the Star Wars Battlefront closed alpha allows fans to enjoy a Walker Assault match on Hoth and Tatooine, as well as the Wave mode.

A lot of different weapons are mentioned but only by some codenames. However, quite a lot of different vehicles from the T-65 X-Wing to the Tie Fighter, Lambda Shuttle, Y-wing, Tie-Bomber, ATST, or AT-AT are also hinted at.

Apparently, the game also comes with a series of emotes that allows characters to do all sorts of things, such as signal when they're in low health, to general clapping, and many more.

The actual Star Wars Battlefront closed alpha doesn't have a server browser, like DICE's Battlefield games, instead relying on a matchmaking system.

It's quite possible that many of these things will change as we get closer to the game's launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One in November. Until then, if you gained entry into the closed alpha, you can now enjoy it on PC.
