The development team at DICE and publisher Electronic Arts might have a few months to go until the launch of Star Wars: Battlefront, but the company is already preparing the fan base for more information about the Battle of Jakku downloadable content pack.

For the time being the official Twitter account of the franchise has offered two images associated with it, which were shown during the D23 conference, and explained that they represent concept on which the actual DLC is being based.

Apparently DICE has gone to remote locations in Abu Dhabi to make sure that the environment included in Battle of Jakku is as accurate as possible.

The DLC is designed to arrive for Star Wars: Battlefront on December 1 for those who are placing a pre-order for the shooter and one week later for those who do not and it will be free for everyone.

The included Battle of Jakku has a connection with the new The Force Awakens movie, but the companies involved have not yet talked about the included characters or if there are any kinds of tweaks when it comes to the gameplay.

Star Wars: Battlefront is focused on the original movie trilogy

The fact that DICE is offering a piece of DLC that is not linked to the first three movies in the franchise shows how important the collaboration between the studio, publisher Electronic Arts and Disney is at the moment.

The core modes and maps of Star Wars: Battlefront are designed to reflect all the battles that are shown or mentioned in the original trilogy, and the developers have gone to great lengths to make the experience as realistic as possible.

Gamers will be able to explore cooperative modes that pit them against waves of enemies or competitive multiplayer that offers a range of experiences, from ground battles to aerial fights and combinations.

Heroes like Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker will also be featured in the shooter in order to give gamers a chance to wield their impressive powers and to dominate the battlefield.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be out on November 17 and the shooter can be played on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
