IFA is one of the biggest tech events to take place in the second half of this year and Sony is said to announce three new smartphones during the conference which takes place in Berlin. According to a new report, Sony Xperia XZ1, XZ1 Compact and X1 will arrive during the event in September.

Some specs for the new Sony smartphones were revealed, pointing towards Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 inside Sony Xperia XZ1 and a 5.2-inch full HD display on the new smartphone. In addition, the device will come with 4GB of RAM and a 3,000mAh battery to keep its lights on.

The XZ1 Compact will be powered by the same Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 platform, and it will have a 4.6-inch HD display. RAM capacity will reach 4GB, together with a 2,800mAh battery. Judging by the specs, these two smartphones will surely belong to the premium range of phones.

Sony Xperia X1 is a mid-ranger with Snapdragon 660 platform

It will be interesting to see which camera sensors Sony will feature on the new devices, especially since the report mentions that all three smartphones will come with “full pixel continuous and shoot” features, the translation reads. The text possibly refers to Sony’s Motion Eye Camera which was introduced on the Xperia XZs, during its unveil earlier this month.

The camera sensor lets users record 960fps Super slow motion videos and use Predictive Capture to start recording videos even before the user presses the button. The Xperia XZs has a 19MP camera with Exmor memory stacked image sensor and predictive hybrid autofocus, while the capacity on the new phones is unknown at this point.

That being said, Xperia X1 will feature the recently announced Snapdragon 660 chipset and a 5-inch Full HD display, together with 4GB of RAM and a 2,800mAh battery. Aside from these three phones, Sony is also expected to announce a new Xperia X Ultra smartphone with an Ultra Wide display of 6.45 inches and Snapdragon 660 platform inside.
