The Xperia Z3+ has been released on the market only last month, but it's been available for purchase in Japan as Xperia Z4 since May.

Customers in the United States can purchase the Xperia Z3+ beginning this week, but only via Amazon US. The major retailer is now offering the unlocked version of Sony's flagship smartphone for $655.

The dual-SIM model is available at Amazon as well, but those who want to purchase this version will have to come up with $670.

Still, the price difference between the single and dual-SIM models are negligible, so if you have two SIM cards that you use then the dual-SIM Xperia Z3+ is the answer.

However, keep in mind that both versions of the smartphone only work with GSM bands, so you will be able to use the Xperia Z3+ on T-Mobile and AT&T networks for example.

Decent hardware specification

In terms of spec, Sony Xperia Z3+ is pretty decent, as the smartphone sports a 5.2-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features oleophobic coating.

The smartphone is IPS68 certified, so it's both dust proof and water resistant. Furthermore, the Xperia Z3+ ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, but it's already been confirmed for an Android 5.1 Lollipop update this month.

The only downside would be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset inside the phone, which has overheating issues. Although Sony promised to release a software update that should address these problems, this hasn't happened yet.

One other strong point of the Xperia Z3+ would be the 20.7-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and 4K video recording, as well as the 5.1-megapixel camera in the front that should be perfect for selfies.

It's also worth mentioning the smartphone comes packed with 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 128GB).
