14 DAY TRIAL // Earlier this month, Japanese handset maker Sony Mobile announced it would release an Android 6.0 Marshmallow concept for owners of Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact.
However, the company did not share any details regarding the exact release date of the concept build. The good news is Sony didn't take too long to make the promised Marshmallow update available for those who were accepted into the beta.
If you haven't been following our previous news on the matter, then you probably don't know that Sony has decided to offer the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to 10,000 users who own the two smartphones mentioned earlier.
Beginning this week, the lucky owners of Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact who are eligible for the concept build can download it on their devices.
There are extra spaces for those who wish to test the concept build
According to Sony, “this is the first phase, with the software concept rolling out gradually over the coming weeks.”
Moreover, the company has promised to offer more details on the new features and experiences that participants will help its engineers build in the coming months.
To make things even more exciting, Sony has announced that it has released a last-minute batch of extra spaces, which means that more Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact devices will be able to download the Android 6.0 Marshmallow concept build.
Speaking of which, if there are any remaining spots for the beta, then you can download Sony's Concept for Android for free via Google Play store.
You will be using this application to sign up for Sony's concept for Android, so if you get accepted into the beta, you will be able to download Android 6.0 Marshmallow concept on your compatible smartphone.
Sony has yet to announce when the final Android 6.0 Marshmallow build will be released, but at least it has confirmed which devices will be getting the update.
