The smartphones have yet to be confirmed in the US

As many of you probably know by now, the new Xperia Z5 family hasn't been confirmed to arrive in the United States.

At least one carrier announced that it has no plans to offer any of the three devices, while others refused to comment on the possibly of selling the Xperia Z5 phones.

Sony might eventually release the Xperia Z5 smartphones in the United States, but only through its online store where customers will be able to get it for the full upfront price.

The good news is Canadian customers won't share the same fate since Sony Canada has just announced that Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium will be available in Canada “later this fall.”

While the Japanese company did not offer more details on which carriers will offer these two high-end smartphones, we suspect Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium will be available at all major network operators across the country.

They should go on sale starting in October at the earliest

Sony Canada's announcement is a real surprise since the same company stated no long ago that the Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z4 Tablet would not be available in the country for whatever reason.

While the handset maker did not yet reveal the exact release dates for the launch of Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium, we can safely assume that they won't be available until October at the earliest.

As for pricing options, it's worth mentioning that all Xperia Z5 smartphones are now available for pre-order in Europe.

For example, in the UK, Sony Xperia Z5 can be pre-purchased for £600 ($915), while the Xperia Z5 Premium costs no less than £700 ($1,065).

The Canadian price of these two high-end smartphones might be around the same amounts, so if you can't wait to grab any of the two Xperia Z5 devices, you should ready your wallet since they won't come cheap at all.
