Sony confirms that it's aware of the fan petition and movement that's calling for a better PlayStation Network. While the company appreciates all the feedback, it can't say for sure when it might make improvements to its online service.

The PlayStation Network has been around for quite some time, and while the early years were pretty good, ever since the infamous hack of 2011, more and more attacks and problems have plagued Sony's online service.

Fans are quite upset with Sony's PSN

With outages increasing in frequency in the last few months, more and more fans are becoming quite upset with the online service from Sony, especially those who pay for the PlayStation Plus subscription that's required for multiplayer access on PS4.

Many have formed a website calling for a better PSN and demanding a wide array of immediate improvements, from increased stability, to two-factor authentication, the possibility of being invisible, friend notifications, and many other things.

After the movement has picked up Steam on social media, Sony has just offered a statement to GamesBeat, confirming that it's aware of the demands and that it appreciates all the feedback from fans.

"Feedback from our community is very important to us and helps guide our ongoing commitment toward making PlayStation the best place to play," a Sony spokesperson explains. "We encourage users to submit ideas on ways to improve PlayStation products and services. We appreciate the dialogue we have with our gamers and have built and improved features based directly on their input."

While Sony doesn't offer any statement about what features might arrive for the PSN and whether or not it will make it a priority to increase the service's stability, it does ask fans to share their thoughts on its official website.

You can expect to hear more about Sony's future PSN plans in the future, possibly at events like Gamescom 2015 in August or the Tokyo Games Show in September.
