The non-LTE Exynos M1 variant won’t have 4GB of RAM

According to the most recent hearsay, Samsung is apparently striving to ready the Samsung Galaxy S7 ahead of schedule (the company usually unveils its next-gen S flagship at MWC in early March), just like it did with the Galaxy Note5.

If we’re to listen to what the whispers are saying, and there’s no lack of them, next year Samsung is going to release versions with both the Snapdragon 820 and with its upcoming Exynos 8990 (or M1 for Mongoose) under the hood, although the bigger slice will go to Exynos.

Today, a new leak coming out of Techgrapple reveals that the Korean tech giant will be pairing its Exynos chips with LTE models, too. Actually, there will be two versions of the Exynos-equipped Galaxy S7, one with LTE and another one without.

But there’s a catch. According to a bunch of leaked benchmarks, the Exynos version without LTE is listed as having 3GB of RAM, while the LTE variant is poised to come equipped with 4GB of RAM.

More info continues to pop related to the Galaxy S7

So far, we’ve been hearing of two different Galaxy S7 versions, one with a phablet-like 5.7-inch display and the other one with a 5.2-inch panel. But it seems that Samsung’s options might get diversified.

What’s more, the Exynos 8890 model without LTE scored a bit higher than the other one in benchmarks, but we have to highlight the fact that the chipset is also clocked higher, at 1.5GHz. The LTE-enhanced Galaxy S7 benefits from a silicon piece clocked at only 1.38GHz.

As you can see, rumors about the Galaxy S7 have started flowing in abundance. Just a few days ago we were telling you that the Galaxy S7 was tipped to take advantage of a dual-camera setup, something we have already seen in the likes of HTC One M8 and Huawei Honor 6 Plus.

It appears that both Apple and Samsung have recognized the graces of this technology, with the latter already testing a similar setup that we will get to see in the Galaxy S7.

Sources also said that we should expect the Galaxy S7 to be slated for a late-February release, just days before MWC 2016 has a chance to kick start in Barcelona.
