The OnePlus One was a worthy device which people around the globe loved, but it was plagued by its own share of issues. Like those touch screen problems.

But now that the OnePlus 2 has made it into the wild, everyone’s attention has shifted towards it. And what do you know? There’s a problem with the OnePlus 2 too. This time, it all has to do with the home button, which was found to be quite unresponsive. Basically, you have to inflict pressure on it repeatedly before the command gets through.

Several users on the OnePlus forums are complaining they are experiencing this problem on their unit. And apparently, it has to do with a grounding issue in the phone.

The handset features a magnesium alloy frame around the edge and it was observed that the home button becomes unresponsive while touching this frame. The issue, however, seems to be solved if users lay the phone out flat against the table.

Not all OnePlus 2 units are plagued by this problem

Still, it doesn’t seem that this is a widespread issue, because a lot of users are saying their OnePlus 2 works just fine. Nevertheless, the problem does exist for some owners, but at this moment we don’t know whether we’re dealing with a hardware problem or just a sensitivity issue that can be easily addressed with an upcoming software update.

We should also point out that the OnePlus 2 does feature optional on-screen buttons, so using the physical Home button can be avoided altogether. Still, it’s annoying if you were planning to rely on saving some screen real estate.

For those of you who missed the scoop on the OnePlus 2, the Chinese company’s second smartphone is offered with a 5.5-inch LCD HD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and should offer 1,500:1 contrast ratio.

The handset comes equipped with a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, complemented by either 3GB or 4GB of RAM, as well as 16GB and 64GB of storage, respectively.

The phone packs a 13MP photo snapper that features large 1.3micron pixel sensors, OIS (optical image stabilization), laser autofocus and video recording, while up in front there’s a secondary 5MP selfie camera.

A worthy phone without a doubt, but just take into consideration that your unit might be faced with home button responsiveness issues if you purchase it.
