One of the most popular instant messenger applications for mobile devices, Snapchat, has almost 500 million downloads in Google Play Store only.

In an attempt to monetize their messenger service, the developers have decided to introduce a new feature that will allow users to replay more than one snap per day.

Up until now, Replay, a feature included in Additional Services about two years ago, allowed users to relive some of the snaps they received just one more time before they disappeared for good.

Basically, Snapchat users were given the chance to replay one snap per day for free, though many Snapchatters have been complaining for quite some time that this was definitely not enough.

Well, it appears that beginning today, Snapchatters will be able to replay more snaps per day, but just one time, and they will need to pay for that.

Developers have just announced that they have introduced the option to purchase extra Replays, starting at 3 for $0.99. You will be able to use Replay on any Snap you receive, but you can only Replay any Snap once.

The new Lenses feature makes your Snaps funnier than ever

Beside the new option to pay for Replays, developers also added “a whole new way to express yourself on Snapchat.” The new feature is called Lenses and can be enabled by press and hold on your face while using the camera to take a selfie.

There are multiple Lenses included in the latest version of Snapchat, so you will be able to play with them before taking a Snap.

You can now download Snapchat for Android for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.

For iOS users, the app is available for download via App Store. It should work smoothly on all devices running iOS 7.0 or later.
