14 DAY TRIAL // The retro arcade shooter Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions has been recently released on Android platform. Owners of Android devices, as well as Amazon Fire tablets will now be able to download the game via Google Play Store and Amazon Appstore, respectively.
Developed by Lucid Games, the game promises to offer Android players fast-paced action, and visually stunning three-dimensional grids made from various geometrical shapes.
According to developers, the Android game comes with a single-player Adventure mode that offers players no less than 50 unique levels, as well as multiple challenge modes. Also, five Classic modes inspired by past titles in the Geometry Wars franchise are included as well.
Other gameplay features confirmed by developers include “climatic boss battles,” competitive global and Facebook-friend based leaderboards, as well as five powerful companion drones and super abilities.
Each of these companion drones can be upgraded for higher firepower output, but also for better efficiency and utility. The fame also features console-quality graphics, which should enhance gameplay immersion further.
No in-app purchases included
“An acclaimed evolution of the electric arcade classic, Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions brings the fast-paced action of the series to new planes of excitement with space-bending, visually stunning three-dimensional grids made from a variety of distinctive geometrical shapes,” says publisher Sierra in a press release.
But there's more good news for Android gamers, as Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions comes with support for one-touch and dual-stick controls, achievements, as well as support for Bluetooth controllers.
You can now download Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions for Android for $4.99 via Google Play store and Amazon Appstore. The game should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.
