Renders imagine what a black iPhone would look like

Rumor has it that Apple could launch a Dark Gray version of the next iPhone (we’ll call it just that because of the speculation that the company could save the iPhone 7 name for the 2017 model), and a new concept tries to envision the way this new device is going to look.

Martin Hajek, who has already created some absolutely beautiful iPhone concepts, has put his design skills to work to imagine the new Dark Gray/black iPhone that could come out this year, and the result is stunning (you can check it out in the photo gallery at the end of the article).

A black iPhone would certainly make the next model feel fresh and modern, especially because there’s information that, in terms of design, this year’s version won’t be very different from the existing 6s and 6s Plus.

Small yet big visual upgrades

The only aesthetic changes that Apple is said to be planning are the new antenna lines moved to the top and the bottom of the device - so we’ll get a clear back, a bigger camera moved closer to the top left corner (and a dual camera on the Plus model), plus what could be a Force Touch home button instead of a physical one.

Other than that, the phone will be very similar to the existing generation and will even have the same dimensions, plus or minus one millimeter as Apple is working to make it a bit thinner.

All these changes are envisioned in the concept, and you can see that everything looks great, and although on paper the next iPhone might not be such a huge visual overhaul, there are certainly changes that make it feel fresh.

Previous reports indicated that Apple originally wanted to offer a Deep Blue version of the iPhone, but given the fact that this color does not align with the rest of the device lineup, the company decided to pick another shade of gray that gets closer to dark.
