14 DAY TRIAL // F-Secure, a Finnish online privacy and security company, has just announced on their blog that they have released their own iOS content blocker for Apple's mobile web browser Safari.
The F-Secure AdBlocker content blocker released by F-Secure is a free application available for download from Apple's App Store and designed to block nosy advertising from loading in the browser, as well as to prevent third-party tracking services to monitor your every step around the web.
F-Secure AdBlocker makes use of a filter list created and maintained by F-Secure's Security Cloud team, and it works by automatically blocking all content delivered from any of the servers in the block list.
"There's plenty of ways advertising is regulated in other types of media, so the idea that people shouldn't have some way to tone down the ad content they see online is a little silly," said F-Secure's Security Advisor Sean Sullivan.

Sean Sullivan also stated that "Turning down the volume on a TV ad is perfectly ok, and volume levels are often regulated to prevent ads from being too intrusive. Bringing ad blocking to digital media is really just giving people a way to turn down the noise."
Just like all content blockers available on the iOS platform after the release of iOS 9, F-Secure AdBlocker will make sure that all websites load faster and that your iOS device's battery life doesn't get hurt by unnecessarily loading advertising content.
You can download F-Secure AdBlocker 1.0.4 from the iOS App Store as long as you agree with F-Secure's privacy policy.
Moreover, you can install F-Secure AdBlocker for iOS on any iPhone 5s or later, on any iPad Air or better, as well as 6th generation iPod touchs as long as they're running at least iOS 9.0 or later.
