The story of a teen diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome and ADHD when he was 3, who got beat up by bullies for being “creepy” and always spending time on his own, went viral a few days ago, after he asked for the bullies to be given community time at a center for people with disabilities.

His name is Gavin Joseph and his story is included below, as told by his mother. The photo of him with a swollen eye is from after he was beat up for being “creepy,” by a group of boys he didn’t know and who didn’t bother knowing him before judging him as a “creep.”

Sean Kingston landed himself in very hot waters when he mocked the teen on social media, TMZ reports.

Though the headline under the 2 photos of the beaten up teen clearly hinted that he did not do anything physically to his bullies, the post that originated from Kingston’s Facebook page read, “Tip of the day: If you start a fight, You better know how to fight or this will be happen! Pic#4 is insane! Ha!”

Clearly, it was saying that the teen deserved what he got to him because he “started” the fight even though he didn’t know how to throw a punch. Naturally, response to the post was swift and harsh, branding Kingston a heartless “moron” for not even reading the story before commenting.

Other commenters scolded him for mocking an autistic kid and told him that he would be much better off if he stayed off social media for the rest of his life, if he can’t be bothered to read the full story.

Rapper lays the blame at someone else’s door

In a statement to TMZ, a publicist for the rapper says that he doesn’t actually run his own Facebook page because he’s too busy to be posting there. He has someone doing this for him, so they’re responsible for messing up.

The rep also offers this twisted explanation for how this came to happen: apparently, whoever is in charge of the page thought they were “sending a message that it wasn't cool to pick on autistic kids because they’ll fight back.”

Kingston has also apologized for the offense, while stressing that the Facebook page isn’t run by him personally.

As it happens, few of his fans on social media believe he’s speaking the truth. For many hours now, Kingston has only been posting motivational quotes and they keep trolling him in the comments, either responding to them in mockery or flat-out accusing him of trying to appear deep because he “messed up.”
