Earlier today, we reported that Samsung was said to be introducing the Z2 on August 11 in India, during the launch event for the Galaxy Note 7. Word is that the smartphone will go on sale on the same day as the unveiling while the rumored price could reach $68.

Samsung is expected to unveil three devices in India on August 11: the highly anticipated Galaxy Note 7, the Galaxy A9 Pro, and Samsung Z2 running Tizen OS. Recent rumors suggest that the Z2 could feature a price tag of $68 while new information has surfaced showing the countries that will welcome this particular phone.

It seems that Samsung will make the Z2 available in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, as well as on the African continent. In addition, consumers from many other regions will be able to purchase the handset, including those from South Africa, Nigeria, and Indonesia, according to SamMobile.

Samsung Z2 will come with a 2,000mAh battery

Some rumors have stated that the Z2 will arrive to Europe, but it seems highly unlikely that the smartphone will influence the market in any way and perhaps convince consumers to switch from Android to Tizen. The Z2 won't come with top-of-the-line specs, but it will be more advanced than the Z1 and have some more features compared to the Z3.

In addition, wallpapers from Samsung's Z2 leaked online, and they're available for download. You may want to know that the upcoming device is said to come with 4G LTE support, together with 1GB of RAM and a 4-inch AMOLED display. It could run a 32-bit quad-core CPU and draw power from a 2,000mAh battery.

Samsung's My Money Transfer app will also be available inside the Z2, and the phone will come with pre-loaded S Bike and other Tizen applications. The device is said to be available in two colors, namely black and white.
