Now that its flagship has been released, Samsung is working on several handsets in its mid- and low-range lineups. It seems that the South Korean smartphone manufacturer is preparing to introduce new models in the Galaxy A series, and their codenames have been revealed.

Samsung first launched the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 back in 2014, as its slimmest smartphones at the time. They came with mid-range specs and plenty of features that would make them attractive on the market.

Models released the following year came with many improvements, like fingerprint scanners, cameras with optical image stabilization, and a metal and glass design. Nine months after releasing the Galaxy A3, A5, and A7 (2016), it seems that Samsung is preparing for new iterations in the lineup.

Samsung will be releasing the SM-A320F, SM-A520F, and SM-A720F soon

SamMobile has found out that Samsung intends to launch the Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, and Galaxy A7 (2017), but there's no word on when that will actually happen. What we do know is that the model numbers of the three smartphones will be SM-A320F for the Galaxy A3 (2017), SM-A520F for the Galaxy A5 (2017), and SM-A720F for the Galaxy A7 (2017).

There's not much information on the Galaxy A3 (2017) or the Galaxy A7 (2017), but the third smartphone in the lineup has recently been imported into India for testing. In addition, the Galaxy A5 (2017) has been spotted on Geekbench, and some of its specs have been revealed.

The smartphone appears to pack a 1.87GHz octa-core Exynos 7880 processor and possibly its equivalent from Qualcomm in certain countries. It could have 3GB of RAM, and it seems to run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. There are no specifics on the size of its display, but last year's Galaxy A5 model had a screen of 5.2 inches that supported Full HD resolution.

It's unclear at this point when Samsung will unveil these new smartphones, but new details about the Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, and Galaxy A7 (2017) should surface soon.
