A new rumor is now making headlines online

Samsung made a habit of unveiling its Galaxy Note high-end smartphones in fall during the IFA trade fair, which usually kicks off in early September.

However, it looks like this year the South Korean company has decided to introduce the Galaxy Note 5 much earlier. Not only that, but Samsung will actually make its next flagship smartphone available on the market as early as next month.

According to SamMobile, sources familiar with Samsung's plans have confirmed that the handset maker is now gearing up for the Galaxy Note 5's unveil, which is set for August 12.

Along with Galaxy Note 5, Samsung is expected to introduce another high-end Android smartphone that's already been rumored in the last couple of weeks, the Galaxy S6 edge+.

Moreover, Samsung intends to put the Galaxy Note 5 on sale in less than two weeks after its announcement, so customers will be able to purchase it as early as August 21.

Samsung Pay will be launched during the same event

But there's more, as the South Korean media also reports that Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ will be accompanied in the United States by the launch of the Samsung Pay service.

For the time being, it's unclear whether or not Samsung Pay will be made available in other countries beginning next month, but the South Korean company plans to roll out the service in waves.

Sources also confirm that Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will not have a microSD card slot and it will look like a big-sized Galaxy S6 (glass back) design-wise. On top of that, the phablet will feature a very thin bezel, just like the recently launched Galaxy A8.

The Galaxy S6 edge+ will be a blown-up version of the regular model, so there's not much to tell in terms of design. However, SamMobile has been able to confirm that the Galaxy S6 edge+ will be packed with an Exynos 7420 chipset instead of the rumored Snapdragon 808 CPU.

Also, it will have 3GB of RAM, while Galaxy Note 5 will be the first Samsung smartphone equipped with 4GB of RAM.
