The Galaxy S10 will supposedly be unveiled in February

Samsung's Galaxy F foldable smartphone is supposed to be launched during March 2019, one million units being ready for shipment for the first batch of orders according to Yonhap News Agency.

The Galaxy S10 will be unveiled in February 2019 according to Yonhap's sources, followed by a 5G version a month later which will be released during the launch event of the Galaxy F foldable phone.

The rumored launch of the Galaxy F follows a public statement by Koh Dong-jin, Samsung's President, who said that the South Korean smartphone manufacturer will release its foldable device during the first half of 2019.

A Galaxy F prototype was unveiled during the Samsung Developer Conference 2018 Opening Keynote, but it was "boxed" in using with the help of black enclosure designed to protect the actual design the smartphone will have on release.

According to the on-stage demo of the prototype device, it will come in a tablet-like format with a main 7,4-inch display which closes like a book transitioning into a smaller, candybar format device with a 4,6-inch cover display.

"While the price of the foldable smartphone has not been decided, industry watchers said it may cost around 2 million won (US$1,770)," said Yonhap.

Samsung's Galaxy F will come with a main Infinity Flex foldable display designed to be folded, while the cover candybar display allows you to use all your apps as you would on any other device without having to open the foldable smartphone.

As detailed during the Samsung Developer Conference keynote, the Galaxy F will also have an app continuity feature designed to make sure that the apps running on the "cover display" will be also be available on the main foldable display.

Furthermore, the foldable smartphone will also feature Samsung's new user interface design named One UI, which comes with new rounded icons as well as a design language that allows Android users to focus on "what really matters."

According to One UI's official page, the new Samsung user interface is still in beta and users have a chance to give it a spin if they own a Galaxy S9, an S9 Plus, or a Note 9 phone before the January 2019 official release.
