Samsung is apparently working on an upcoming smartphone in the C series, the Galaxy C9. Specs for the smartphone have been leaking for some time now, as the unit already received multiple certifications and was spotted on benchmarking sites.

It seems that Samsung has taken to one of China’s biggest social networks, Weibo, in order to tease the new Galaxy C9. The Weibo listing spotted by SamMobile shows that the smartphone will come with an all metal-body.

The teaser image is not quite clear, but some details of the upcoming phone are still visible. For instance, it seems that the device will have antenna lines running horizontally above the camera sensor on the back.

The caption at the bottom of the image reads “The next big thing is coming,” and this is the main clue that it is referring to the Galaxy C9, since the smartphone is expected to come with a 6-inch Full HD display. The Galaxy C9 carries the model number SM-C9000 and was recently spotted at the FCC.

Samsung Galaxy C9 could come with SD625 and 6GB of RAM

The phone might also incorporate a Snapdragon 625 chipset and up to 6GB of RAM. In addition, it could have a very powerful 16MP rear camera and a 16MP sensor in the front for snapping selfies and conducting video calls. Moreover, it will draw power from a 4,000mAh battery, one of the biggest on Samsung phones.

Rumors say that Samsung will make the smartphone available in China at the end of October and it might arrive to the US in mid-November. At this point, it’s unclear if the smartphone will be made available in Europe as well.

The Galaxy C9 might come with 64GB of internal memory and run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box, with the possibility to update to Android 7.0 Nougat in the near future.
