The new name appears in the latest Nougat beta build

Samsung is working hard to bring Android 7.0 Nougat updates to some of its most popular flagship smartphones available on the market (and the only ones for that matter). The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge will be the first to receive the update, that's no doubt about it.

The only thing that remains to be clarified is when exactly Samsung will start rolling out the final version of Android Nougat to these two smartphones. The South Korean company hopes the update will be out by the end of the year, but that depends on the current testing programs.

Thanks to the Galaxy Beta Program, select Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge owners can now test the Android 7.0 Nougat beta builds that Samsung is feeding them.

In fact, we reported earlier this week that Samsung already released the third beta build of the Android 7.0 Nougat. We also did a round-up of the new features and improvements the most recent build brings into the mix.

However, we missed a very important piece of information. According to some screenshots taken on the Galaxy S7 running this third Android 7.0 Nougat build, Samsung plans to ditch TouchWiz in favor of a new UI.

Even though the update adds some visual changes, it looks like this is just a name change. There won't be any redesigns of the UI or mind-blowing new features to justify the use of such a name.

The new name is “Samsung Experience,” or at least this is how it appears in one of the screenshots provided by one of the Galaxy S7 owners.

If you're one of the lucky owners of a Samsung flagship smartphone, then you can check for yourself if the name has been changed or not. You just have to go to the Settings app and you'll find Samsung Experience.

Samsung has yet to comment on the matter and we doubt there will be any official statements, as the new UI will probably be confirmed once the first Android 7.0 Nougat updates start hitting Galaxy S7 devices.
