Samsung announced that it brings its rugged Samsung Galaxy S8 Active Android-powered smartphone to users of T-Mobile and Sprint cellular networks in the US later this month.

Featuring military-grade durability and large 4000mAh battery that should keep the device powered for long periods of time on a single charge, Galaxy S8 Active is coming this month to Sprint and T-Mobile customers in the US in Meteor Gray finnish.

The device was previously available only for AT&T customers in the US, but Samsung partnership recently with T-Mobile and Sprint to expand the availability of the rugged smartphone powered by Google's Android mobile operating system.

"Previously only on AT&T, [Galaxy S8 Active] will now be available through Sprint and T-Mobile in Meteor Gray starting this month," said Samsung in the press release. "The Galaxy S8 Active delivers military-grade durability with a long-lasting battery to get the most out of your day."

Galaxy S8 Active comes with Bixby intelligent personal assistant

Samsung's Galaxy S8 Active comes with all the features you would expect from a smartphone from the Galaxy S8 series, including the Bixby intelligent personal assistant, an advanced dual pixel 12MP f1.7 rear camera, as well as an 8MP f1.7 smart autofocus front camera.

In addition, Galaxy S8 Active features a shatter-resistant 5.8-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED screen that protects the device against accidental drops, and quick access to flashlight, compass, barometer, stopwatch, and other similar active lifestyle functions.

Secured by Samsung Knox, the defense-grade mobile security platform designed by Samsung, Galaxy S8 Active is protected against hacks and other attacks or Android malware, and it features fingerprint scanning and facial recognition capabilities.

Performance-wise, Galaxy S8 Active is using a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 10nm processor that provides you with all the speed and efficiency needed for an active life. The device is also gigabit LTE cable supporting up to 1 Gbps downloads.

The device will be soon available for purchase from Samsung's online store or directly from T-Mobile and Sprint carriers. Price starts from $849.99 USD or $35.42 per month with a 2-year contract. More details about Samsung Galaxy S8 Active can be found on the official website.
