The company makes fun of the whole decade of iPhones

The iPhone X brought back memories that we forgot they existed, such as huge lines in front of Apple stores, people fighting to get the device, and record pre-order demand that got the new model sold out in the United States in less than 10 minutes.

But in addition to features like Face ID and Animoji, the iPhone X introduces features that have been around for a long time, such as wireless charging.

And since it’s Apple’s latest rival to Samsung’s own devices, including here the Galaxy S8 and the Note 8, the South Korean firm just couldn’t miss the occasion to mock its competitor, especially given the recent excitement generated by the iPhone X.

The video you see below and which is called “Growing Up” is Samsung’s own response to the iPhone X craze, mocking some of the most important things that define Apple, such as the people waiting in line in front of the Apple Store to get new iPhone models.

Samsung also borrowing Apple’s innovations

With this ad, Samsung pretty much makes fun of an entire decade of iPhones, and while some people could find this offensive, the main idea that the South Korean firm tries to emphasize is that it’s always been ahead of its rival in terms of new features for smartphones.

Of course, this is only partially true, and there are reports right now suggesting that Samsung itself is looking into following in Apple’s footsteps with features such as 3D sensing camera-based facial recognition, no fingerprint sensors, and no headphone jack on the upcoming flagships.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 will definitely be a new milestone as far as innovation goes, but it remains to be seen how many of its new features would be inspired by those developed by Apple. The next Galaxy flagship is expected in early 2018, with some people claiming it could see daylight as soon as February.
