Now that Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 flagship was unveiled in many countries around the world, Samsung is focusing its attention on mid-range lines. The company is expected to unveil the next smartphone in the C series soon, as the Galaxy C9 recently appeared in an import listing.

Samsung Galaxy C9 appeared on Zauba import export website, which means that the company could soon release the smartphone to the market, according to SamMobile. Typically, Zauba listings don't reveal any specs of listed smartphones, but this time it gave us the first clue regarding the display size on the smartphone.

The Galaxy C9 could come with a 5.7-inch display. This would be larger than screen on other smartphones in the series, like the Galaxy C5. The Galaxy C5 came with a 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display.

The Galaxy C5 also came with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 617 processor with Quick Charge 3.0 and Adreno 405 graphics processing unit. It also came with 4G LTE, 4GB of RAM and drew power from a 2,600mAh battery. It came with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

The Galaxy C9 is codenamed “Amy”

The Galaxy C9 carries the SM-C9000 code and has been nicknamed “Amy”. There aren't many details available on the C9, but it should be a step up from its predecessor, the Galaxy C7. The Galaxy C7 had the same display size as on the Galaxy C9. However, there's always the possibility that the device featured on the import listing is merely a prototype and the size of the final Galaxy C9 could be different.

Nevertheless, the Galaxy C7 came with a 5.7-inch display with 1920 x 1080p resolution and 4GB of RAM, together with 32GB of internal memory and a 64-bit 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, coupled with Adreno 506 graphics processing unit. It drew power from a 3,300mAh battery and had Quick Charge 3.0. More details on the upcoming smartphone are bound to surface soon.
