Samsung announced yesterday that the English version of its Bixby intelligent personal assistant is now available for Galaxy S8 and S8+ owners in the U.S., and it looks like it can interact with a bunch of popular Android apps.

These include Google Maps, Google Play Music, Google Play store, Gmail, YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Tumblr, Pandora, Yelp, and Uber. Samsung says that Bixby's voice capabilities can be used with other third-party apps that are available in Bixby Labs, if you opted in for the service.

"At launch, users will be able to access Bixby’s voice capabilities in a set of third-party apps on an opt-in basis via Bixby Labs. Within Bixby Labs, users can experiment with upcoming applications to take advantage of the benefits Bixby offers," said Samsung in the press announcement.

Say "Hi, Bixby" and you're ready to use it on your Galaxy S8/S8+
