The next flagship smartphone coming from Samsung, the Galaxy S8, should be more than just an incremental upgrade of the Galaxy S7, and the South Korean company knows it. Even if most of its fans remain loyal after the Galaxy Note 7's recall, a second fiasco won't be overlooked that easily by customers.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S8 in late February at Mobile World Congress trade fair, but the first information about the phone has already leaked online.

One of the previous rumors claimed Samsung would include its first ever AI digital assistant in the Galaxy S8.

The new AI digital assistant will be called Bixby, and the information has been confirmed by the trademark Samsung filed weeks ago.

Today, a new piece of information highlights the fact that Samsung plans to give its AI digital assistant at least two voices: male and female.

If you haven't guessed by now, Bixby will be the male voice of the digital assistant. The female voice will be called Kestra, a new report claims.

The folks over at GalaxyClub have learned that Samsung has trademarked two apps in the European Union and South Korea: Bixby and Kestra.

Both are described as “computer software for enabling hands-free use of a mobile phone through voice recognition” and “computer software used to process voice commands.”

It's worthy of a mention the fact that Samsung wants to be absolutely sure that no one is going to take advantage of the Bixby name after its AI digital assistant is officially unveiled.

To achieve that, the South Korean company trademarked some variations of the Bixby name such as Bix-bee, Bix:)bee, Bix:)by, and Bix-by.

So, there you have it folks, Samsung's digital assistant will have two different voices that you can listen to if you decide to go for the company's upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S8.
