Samsung will roll out 7.0 Nougat to the J5 and J7

Samsung Turkey has just revealed a list of devices that would receive Android 7.0 Nougat updates, together with the approximate date when that will happen. The list includes a plethora of Samsung smartphones and tablets.

Samsung Turkey revealed a list of 20 smartphones that will receive Android 7.0 Nougat updates this year. The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are at the top of the list, mentioning that the 7.0 Nougat rollout in the country started on February 13. At this rate, by the end of this month, Galaxy S7 and S7 edge smartphones in most countries would have received the update.

Next on the list are the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, which will receive it on February 27, followed by the Galaxy Note 5 on March 6 and the Galaxy S6 edge+ on March 13.

The Galaxy A3 2016 and Galaxy A8 will receive the update by the end of April, while the Galaxy A5 2016, A7 2016 and A8 will get it on May 22. Galaxy A3, A5, A7, J7 2016, J7, J5 2016, J5, On7 and J7 Prime will get Android 7.0 Nougat updates by the end of this year.

Four Galaxy Tab devices will receive Android 7.0 Nougat updates

When it comes to tablets, Samsung intends to bring the update to the Galaxy Tab S2 Refresh, Galaxy Tab, Galaxy Tab A with S Pen 10.1 inches and the 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab A. These tablets will receive the Nougat update by July this year. Obviously, the upcoming Galaxy Tab S3 will have 7.0 Nougat pre-installed.

The timeframe for Nougat updates will vary depending on region, but these dates should roughly coincide with other countries in Europe. The Android 7.0 Nougat update should bring battery improvements to Samsung devices, as well as multi-window support, new quick reply features, and improved Always On Display feature to phones that support it.
