Samsung just unveiled their new user interface design dubbed One UI during the Samsung Developer Conference 2018 Opening Keynote, featuring new rounded icons and a new design language meant to allow Android users to focus on "what really matters."

"With hardware and software working together in harmony, see only what you need, using and viewing your phone with an experience that feels second nature. Because it’s the small details that make a big difference," states Samsung on the One UI official web page.

One UI seems to be the direct successor to the previous installment of Samsung's Android OEM UI dubbed Samsung Experience, that was previously replaced by the TouchWiz user interface.

Samsung's One UI is designed to tidy up the users' screen, with every tap bringing up only the most quintessential information for the task at hand.

One UI also comes with built-in Night Mode making it a lot easier to get to sleep without tiring out your eyes and making the experience of using your smartphone in the dark a lot more comfortable.

The One UI beta program is available to Galaxy S9/9+ with Android 9 Pie users from a limited number of countries

At the moment One UI is still in beta, with users having the chance to try it before it is officially released in January 2019 on the Galaxy S9, S9 Plus, and Note 9.

According to Samsung, the One UI beta program is open to users from "China, France, Germany, India, Poland, South Korea, Spain, UK, and USA."

To enable the new One UI user interface on their devices, Android users have to enroll in the beta program using the Samsung Members app (Samsung+ for U.S. users), log in, go to the Notices menu, and then choose “One UI Beta Program Registration” to apply.

"Once signed up, go to Settings and then Update Software to select the Download Updates Manually option," says Samsung. "This will allow the software to update and load the beta version."

Moreover, the One UI Beta Program is only available for a limited array of devices, OS versions, and countries, with the Galaxy S9/S9+ with Android 9 Pie being the only platform where it's available.
