Samsung has just announced the second iteration of its Game Launcher application for Galaxy smartphones. The new application comes with several new features and many improvements over the previous version.

Introduced earlier this year with the Galaxy S7/S7 edge, Game Launcher 2.0 is exclusive to Samsung smartphones and can be downloaded in 185 countries via Galaxy Apps store, including U.S., UK, Germany, China, Japan, Russia and Korea.

Here are all the smartphones compatible with the application: Galaxy S7, S7 edge, S7 active, Galaxy Note5, Galaxy A8, C5, C7 and C9. In addition, it can be downloaded on the Galaxy S6, S6 edge and S6 edge+.

The Game Launcher 2.0 comes with a new, simplified UI design, which is meant to improve menu and icon legibility. One of the important new features included in the app is Game Discovery, which offers users customized game recommendations based on their gameplay history and preferences.

Also, with My Diary, Game Launcher 2.0 can now analyze and document gameplay records. Non-game app foldering enables users to take advantage of Game Tools and Game Launcher features in non-game apps by adding them to the Game Launcher folder.

Beside Game Launcher, Samsung also updated its Game Tools app to offer gamers more control over mobile gaming by allowing them to turn off notifications, minimize the game screen, lock the Recent and Back keys, as well as record and take screenshots of games.

Although some of these features have already been present in the previous version of Game Launcher 2.0, it's good to know that they are now available to even more Samsung Galaxy users.

If you already have Game Launcher installed on your Samsung smartphone, you can find the new version in the Galaxy App store. The same goes for Game Tools application, which can only be downloaded via Samsung's app store.
