If you want to purchase a brand-new Samsung Galaxy S10, you should look no further than the official Samsung store, as the South Koreans are currently offering some interesting deals for the new device.

These include a trade-in program that lets customers exchange their phones with store credit that can then be used towards the purchase of the Galaxy S10.

However, the maximum trade-in value that you can get is $300, which for some is definitely not enough, especially because this is the amount that Samsung pays, for example, for a working iPhone XS Max. For what it’s worth, the top iPhone XS Max costs $1,449 in the United States.

Samsung’s trade-in program includes brands like Samsung, Apple, LG< Google, Motorola, and others, and obviously, the newer the phone, the bigger its value.

Pricey Galaxy S10

For example, if you want to trade-in a Samsung Galaxy S8, you get only $200, while its successor, the Galaxy S9, comes with a trade-in discount of $300. The same for iPhones. Samsung pays $300 for an iPhone X and $200 for an iPhone 7. The old iPhone 6 also qualifies for the trade-in program.

The whole purpose of this trade-in program is to make the Galaxy S10 overall more affordable.

The cheapest configuration in the United States is the Galaxy S10e, which when purchased unlocked, starts at $749.99 with 128GB storage. The 256GB version costs $100 more.

The Galaxy S10, can be yours with 128GB storage at $899, while a 512GB configuration is offered for $250 more at $1149. The top-of-the-range Galaxy S10 is the Plus model, which is priced from $999 in the United States when equipped with 128GB storage. On the other hand, if you want to get the top-of-the-range model with 1TB of storage, you need to spend no less than $600 more, as it costs $1599.
