The application is available for beta testing

Samsung has released many proprietary applications to the Google Play Store, in an attempt to make them available to the broader public and to attract more customers towards its smartphones. Another advantage to proprietary apps in the Play Store is that updates arrive in devices much more quickly.

Back in mid-May, Samsung added the S Note to the Play store, and now it seems that the application is back in beta mode with a new update. Significant changes have been brought to the app, with the introduction of new features that were initially released with the Galaxy Note 7 and its newly improved S Pen.

The stylus brought some major improvements, and thus the S Note had to be updated to accommodate the new features.

S Note comes with a new Folder View and improved features

Samsung wishes to enroll beta testers in the new program for S Note and provide updates to the application much faster than it would in its Galaxy Apps environment. The new features brought to the S Note app are a new Folder View, Trash, and improved styles that testers could check out.

Considering that the app is in beta mode, Samsung does warn that it could take up to several hours to get the update, provided that the app is installed in the first place. If they don’t have the app installed in the first place, testers should get it from the Play Store, and they hit the update button when the beta update arrives. In addition, the application could come with some bugs and instabilities, so users should take this factor into consideration.

Users can leave the beta testing program at any time. Google did provide such a feature earlier this year, to make it easier for users to test and opt out of beta programs, which would mean that more people could be interested in testing applications, knowing that it only takes the tap of a button to exit testing programs.
