With Samsung screens on the back of every truck!

Prototyping a camera system designed to make roadways safer, Project Samsung Safety Truck will involve using cameras on large vehicles to eliminate lack of visibility.

Mounting cameras in front of a truck and have it project images of what's ahead to a couple of massive screens on the back of the truck, Samsung hopes that passenger vehicle drivers will have the visibility they need to engage in safe overpasses without risking any accidents with the oncoming traffic, caused by lack of visibility.

Apparently, Samsung got inspired to develop this tech by the dangerous roads of Argentina and to help curb the death rates caused by traffic accidents in that country. Studies show that one person dies each hour on the Argentinian roads.

However, this concept is not new as the Russians at Art Lebedev came up with the idea in 2009 but never went off the ground for unknown reasons.

But no matter how innovative this idea might seem, the real problem is how to convince people to actually use it, unless road laws change in said countries for shipping companies. Another incentive is, of course, having those screens run commercials on the back of the trucks while no traffic is ahead, and switch to camera automatically when oncoming traffic appears.

In the end, let's admit it, you must be Samsung to really pull this off, to save lives by having every truck in a country carry your screens on their backs, and maybe run commercials at the same time!
