14 DAY TRIAL // In order to boost its revenue after the global recall of the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung has decided to launch different color variations of the Galaxy S7 edge, its one-year-old flagship.
The Blue Coral Galaxy S7 edge sold very well and probably the same happened with the more recently launch Black Pearl model that packs 128GB of storage inside.
Well, it appears that other companies have drawn inspiration from Samsung's business model, which was more of a temporary strategy supposed to allow the South Korean handset maker to maintain its fan base until the next flagship, the Galaxy S8, hits the market.
One of the companies that will launch a Blue Coral version of its flagship is Xiaomi. The Mi Note 2 was officially released on the market back in November in three color options: black, silver, and gold.
However, starting next month, there's a high chance Xiaomi will launch a Blue Coral version of the Mi Note 2 phablet. A couple of pictures showing Xiaomi founder Lei Jun holding a Blue Coral Mi Note 2 confirms the information, but it lets us guess when the smartphone will actually make its debut on the market.
The Mi Note 2 might end up being available in seven colors
The pictures have been posted on Weibo, the Chinese alternative to Facebook, and come along a couple of interesting details about the Mi Note 2. Apparently, Xiaomi plans to launch additional color variations of the phablet, including green, pink, and purple.
If the information proves to be accurate, than the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 could be available in no less than seven colors by the end of the year.
However, the Mi Note 2 won't remain the company's flagship for too long, as Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to go official in the coming months.
The Chinese company has recently confirmed it won't be present at MWC 2017 next month, so it's safe to say the Mi 6 won't benefit from a global reveal.
